He’s 28 years old and he’s from Germany. He enjoys to write poetry, short stories and whatever is on his mind. He’s a complete amateur, however some say he’s becoming better and better every day. He doesn’t know if it’s true what people say, but he knows that he simply does, what he loves…

Thank you so much, what a compliment! I am a COMPLETE amateur, but it always makes me the happiest person on earth, if someone out there in the whole wide world likes even just one sentence of my writings.. or blurtings as you’d call it πŸ˜‰ (what a fun word that is πŸ™‚ ).
I didn’t realize I had a style, but I guess at some point or another everyone develops his own personal style of writing. Anyway thank you so much!!!
      Your words are highly appreciated.

      • Thank you ever so much! I am hugely flattered by your generous compliments.. I am thrilled that you have enjoyed reading my blog πŸ™‚ I too am a total and utter amateur!! And so for the same reasons as you I am honoured and humbled by any good feedback.
haha, glad you liked the word ‘blurtings’ πŸ˜‰

Yes I believe gradually everyone develops their own style (like an artist does with their paintings). Except we paint pictures with words.

You are most welcome- You are naturally very talented.

  7. Looks like you had some time on your hands, my husband doesn’t like any of this if I told him I wanted to move there would be a for sale in the yard tomorrow. Love being able to vent this on a blog …
I have spent some time in Germany….my husband is German….flew into Munich….spent some time at my friends relatives house…much more fun than tourist stuff…I can’t remember how to spell the town something like…Ausnabrook? It is a beautiful country, the food is awesome, I could easily live there.

    • Yes indeed I did, woke up at 3 a.m. again tonight and so I thought I would read a little bit through the beginnings of your blog.
I am fascinated by the things you write about and how one is able to see how things are developing. Also I am amazed at how you deal with all of this, I’m not quite sure I could handle all this quite well. I’ve only had a few “encounters” up to now and I really would not mind if it would stay that way. Not at all actually… still ever since the first “encounter” I am .. I wouldn’t say more open-minded as I’ve always been an open-minded person, I’d say I am “affirmed”.
Hey, that’s interesting. Did your husband grew up in Germany and does he (still) speak german? Yes, I know what you mean. It’s a completely different experience than travelling as a tourist and doing only the common tourist stuff.. that’s why I enjoy going abroad alone and start to explore everything all on my own, connecting with the natives and even befriend some of them. That’s how you meet interesting people and experience foreign countries in a much more intensive way… anyways I am rambling.
OsnabrΓΌck, I’ve never been there, but Munich is quite close to where I grew up. πŸ™‚
Are you US-based by the way? While I was writing this response to your comment this question suddenly popped in my head and I noticed that I had absolutely no clue at all. I hope you don’t mind me asking. πŸ™‚

PS: Oh, and I also hope, this wasn’t your last visit here in Germany. πŸ˜‰

      Have a fantastic day!

And I love your style of writing. Even though I don’t have nearly enough time in my days to read everything, what I read from you grabbed me, took me in and made me want to enjoy, just one more…
Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
    Schreibst du auch auf Deutsch?

    • Thank you. I always take my time selecting a picture for my writings. It has to feel right, so sometimes it really takes quite a long time to find the perfect fit for a piece. No, I don’t take them myself. I use pictures I find online. πŸ™‚
Many many thanks for your kind words! You are too kind. I’m so happy that my words were so gripping to you.
Thank you for leaving a piece of you behind here and for stopping by.

I also mostly write in English, it’s funny how these things work out πŸ™‚

Though the first-ever poem I wrote as an adult was in German. die Eiche. πŸ˜€

      • Oh, wow! Faszinierend!
Woher kommst du denn ursprΓΌnglich, wenn ich fragen darf? Sprachen machen das Leben erst interessant! Ich mΓΆchte so viele Sprachen und Kulturen wie mΓΆglich entdecken! πŸ™‚
Yes, it’s funny, it seems I’m only able to fully express myself through English.. Irony of life I guess! πŸ˜€
Really?! Wow, I can only write essays in German or boring stuff, but when it comes to creative writing my mind refuses to think in any other language than English.. Speaking so many languages is exciting, especially when you wake up one morning and notice, that you’ve just dreamt in another language. πŸ˜‰

        Liked by 1 person

For me, the fact that it’s easier to write in English is that it’s the language in which I did most of my psychotherapy. The poem in German, I didn’t have a choice. I was out walking and it came to me. It was impossible to not write it down when I came home.
I keep telling people: you know you can really speak a language when you laugh at the jokes, dream in it, can give birth in it, or do pshychotherapy in it. I must say I did all four for the first three languages I listed πŸ˜‰
You cannot force writing. It comes to you in one language or another and you just have to accept it as is πŸ™‚

  21. Its good to see that you are writing in English. What I heard that Germans are not too good in English? is it so?

    Liked by 1 person

    • Thank you! Well, it’s quite impossible to generalize an entire nation, everyone has their own set of skills. I’d say it depends on the person you’d meet.
Nowadays English is all around us, it would be completely ignorant to not pick up this language on your way through life, because being unable to communicate in English also means being ubable to communicate with most of the world.
I’ve lived in the US for a while and I’m a language enthusiast, there are so many fascinating languages out there, however English is the one I like to express myself the most.
Thanks for stopping by friend. πŸ™‚

    • My experience is that Germans spoke much better English than other European nationalities when I was growing up. I guess it goes to show that you shouldn’t believe everything you hear!
Of all the European languages, German and Dutch are probably the two closest to English, at least in vocabulary. So I wasn’t surprised to see how good Germans actually were at English.
Nowadays, It sometimes becomes difficult, when listening in on a conversation, because so many English words are mixed in, which wasn’t the case 20 or 30 years ago.
