Oh well!…. I’m a monster man!

Image

I got love on my fingers,
I got spit on my tongue,
got blood on my teeth,
yeah baby come on.

I got regret on my hands,
babe I loved you too strong,
got hate up my nose,
and shame on my clothes.

I’m your monster man,
I am a monster man!

I got hope in my eyes,
and tears on my toes,
I got dreams in my stomach,
and down the toilet they go.

Looking at my reflection,
I don’t see it no more,
what’s the attraction?
Nothing there to score.

I’m your monster man,
I am a monster man!

I got scars on my chest,
and bad words fill my head,
there’s despair on my breath,
might as well be dead.

I’m a monster man!
I am a monster man!!

So I say to myself,
man, it’s time to be strong,
turn your back on the mirror,
and keep moving on!

About:

Originally written in October 2014. Now part of this week’s #ThrowbackThursday.

I’m glad to reread all these old pieces, it’s funny how they affect me. It almost feels like travelling back in time. Even though I wrote this two years ago, I still feel like a monster, man!
Well, sometimes at least.

Have a wonderful rest of the week guys.

  1. It’s a sad man described
“I got scars on my chest,
and bad words fill my head,
    there’s despair on my breath,
    might as well be dead.”!

    • You know what? I noticed that you re-liked this right away and burst out laughing, thinking: “Ohh I knew that something like this would happen, hehe!”. I’m still grinning.
Yes, it was funny to relive the moment when we’ve met. Kind of sweet. I’d say we both have come a long way since then and we’ve grown, we’re still growing. Side by side, we one day (maybe soon?) will grow together and let our poetic minds collide. πŸ˜‰

  12. Awestruck. Dumbstruck.
Those line left me fumbling and insisted me to Rethink how deep a writer can go and what are those boundations that surround us.
    Kudos.
Would Love To Collaborate one day with such a great artist.
