Sweet Dreams.

when_i_dream_of_you_by_michellis13-d4nwpv3

Maybe,
you will dream of me tonight,
and you’ll regret the day you broke my heart,
and our love died.

Oh maybe,
you will dream of me tonight,
and you’re just as hurt and lost,
as me inside.

Maybe,
you will dream of me tonight,
and you’re growing tired of all the tears,
from this never ending fight.

Maybe,
you will dream of me tonight,
and you’re doing everything you can,
to move forward with your life.

Oh maybe,
maybe,
please.

About this poem:

Well, the good news is: I’ve been writing almost daily this past month. However most of it, I don’t put up on here. It’s just rants anyways. December really is quite an emotional month for me, it has been in the past few years actually. Maybe the fact, that I’m not getting enough Vitamin D or the stress and pressure of Christmas is getting to me. I’m no Sigmund Freud, but my guess is it’s a combination of those two things.

It’s good to be writing again. I love it and it’s very liberating. I wish, writing about the emotions of life and what else goes on in my mind was all that I would do in my life. Sadly, it isn’t. One has to survive and get by somehow, right?! Yeah. Now that I’ve gone off topic and turned this into a random ass paragraph I might as well finish what I’ve started and mention that I’m quite lost as to where to go with my life after I’m getting my degree next Summer. Though I have to admit that I find it kind of funny, that after FOUR years of studying Chinese I am starting to doubt my decision to do so. Honestly I can’t see myself working somewhere and dealing with this language on a professional level. It’s been over six months that I’ve opened my Chinese books due to all my other classes I have to take this semester. Let me tell you one thing about Chinese: Once you stop learning, you start forgetting and FAST! 他妈的!!! (Guessing the meaning shouldn’t be very difficult at this point. I’ve included it for educational purposes only of course.) 😛

I’m gonna stop here and will prepare tomorrow’s “Throwback Thursday” post, another thing I’ve randomly started to do this month. I’m just all over the place.

Cheers!

Prospermind. 😉

      • First of all: Many thanks for your kind words. It means a lot to me, that you took the time to stop by and say so. 🙂

Second: Don’t worry, please. When I read your comment, I couldn’t help myself but to burst into laughter. It’s wonderful. Your comment brought me joy, so THANK YOU. (And also: Half the time I don’t even know what I’m saying in Chinese, so I totally get it. haha. :D)

  2. Nice poem! I’m a youngster myself (do Young people say that?) and I like your use of deep lyrics and the fact it’s not too lengthy, you’ve got some talent my friend! P.S. I’m a fellow poet myself, but I’m more of a humorous kinda guy.

Thank you for such a compliment, wow! All I can say is that I write from my heart.
Yes, I noticed. I took a quick look at your page already, (not gonna lie, but the youngster comment had me intrigued. 😉 ). I will be back there to actually explore it soon. Promise. 🙂
      See you soon.
