We see,
We think,
We feel,
We fear,
We love,
We touch,
We live,
We are –
like no other.
Words are our weapon,
released through,
pen and paper.
They came here,
to inspire,
to give us wings and,
make us braver.
We are lovers,
We are haters,
We are puppets,
We are players.
We are dreamers,
and believers.
We are silly,
We are wise,
We are heroes,
in disguise.
You may not see us,
but you’ll h e a r us,
because
We are
young poets on the rise!

About:
It is December, the end of the year is close and a new beginning stands before us. This (if there were such a thing) would be the perfect time to reflect upon ourselves. To think about our lives, about who we are, who we want to be, who we used to be, who we’ve allowed ourselves to be and who we could be.
I have chosen this for today’s throwback, because it reminded me of why I began to write short poems and lyrics all squeezed together in a little notebook five years ago. There is this exhilarating freedom in expressing myself this way plus if you do it long enough, you get to enjoy your “silly” works from years ago. They not only make you laugh or feel embarrassed, they also make you realise how far you’ve come, how much you’ve grown in only a few years. So, today I am proud to repost this oldie but goodie, because it just makes me smile. That is all.
Poem above originally written in February 2015.
Happy Holidays guys. Be well and stay safe.
Much LOVE (because we need it),

Hmm.. I never thought of it that way, I like where you’re going with this. You just planted a thought in my head.. I think you gave me an idea for something new. π
Anyways, sounds like a great plan!! Our very own hymn for the uprising warriors of words.. or so! π

A nice poem with letters strung together to make a wonderful piece of writing that only you hold the litmus paper of yesteryears to today. Keep writing it only gets better. Be well.
