Ever wondering.

forever_wondering_by_naomi_diaz-d42x6ia

You are,
ever-wondering,
a wandering soul,
on the lookout,
on a hunt,
for the one.

Will it have a future?
Will it have a soul?
You ask yourself,
Will this be,
the thing you need?
Will you ever make it?
Will you find and take it?
Will you feel complete?
Or will it make you bleed,
when you reach the goal?

Will it fall down,
to the floor?
Will it fly high,
above the clouds?
Will it break,
into pieces small?
Or will it last,
for ever standing tall?

Will it wither,
like a rose?
Or will it survive?
No one knows.
Will it require,
much of a fight?
Or will this love be,
one of the easy kind?

You run,
and roam around,
on a quest,
to hunt it down,
you never rest,
to find the one.

Will it keep you afloat,
like balloons with helium?
Or will it drag you down,
like a bag of heavy stones?
Will you forget,
all the pain?
Or will it leave,
another hole again?

Will it leave you abandoned,
like all the others?
Will you be imprisoned,
like eternal lovers?
Will you rest in heaven,
or dwell in hell?

You are,
ever-wondering,
a wandering soul,
until the end,
unless you try,
to go and find,
the one you’re meant,
to meet in life.

About this poem:

The other day: I had just left my new apartment to go and get a coffee somewhere in the city and while I was sipping my coffee, observing my surroundings, I noticed a 30-something old woman standing in the rain and looking quite sad. The image of said woman hasn’t left my mind that day, therefore I decided to write about her. Anyways, this is what I got and other than rearranging the order of a few stanzas, I have left this unedited, just the way it hit me.

Have a great week everyone and thank you for your time.

My best to you,

prospermind. 🙂

  1. My friend! Simple and effective. I couldn’t help singing “You were made too, go out and get her” from “Hey Jude” while reading 🙂

    • It’s great to see you back here my friend, and by that I don’t mean back here on prospermind, I mean back on WordPress in general.
Seems about right that you would connect this piece to a great song in that super musical mind of yours!

I hope you’re doing well back at home. 😀
We should hang out some time soon and catch up a bit. 😉

  2. This is a pure joy. Like a fantasy treasure hunt, my vision was very well stretched during reading. Absolutely amazing!!!! Keep it up, Mr Prospermind!
