The Hatch.

little_white_flowers_by_kyendo-d5tv54b

I smell the colours,
of your morbid flowers,
they make me smile,
and in the scent of red,
I spin around and dance,
to the melody of the dead.

Through the moonlit smoke,
of my father’s gun,
I watch my own blood run,
satisfied with my new design,
I wave goodbye to what lies behind,
and drive towards the crimson sky.

About the poem:

This dark poem was inspired by India, a character from the thriller “Stoker”. I felt charged with inspiration after watching this movie. The storytelling is phenomenal and I just wanted to write and release its effects on me.

  1. This is beautiful! I think I can relate with her to some extent. Though… maybe I’m lured into thinking it’s a woman speaking because of the picture, but it could also be a man I guess.
Very dark but very poetic. One of your best pieces I think.
