The Universe Express

havona_by_antifan_real

Our bodies are just husks,
objects worn by time,
just matter, really,
simple utensils to enjoy
the short segment “life”,
on our eternal journey
through the universe.

If you’re tired,
stay awake,
live every moment,
as an extrovert and,
face life with
a fearless heart,
and never throw away the key,
to your open mind,
let go,
of your urge to control,
just breathe in,
and breathe out,
let your soul,
be free,
be loud.

Hop on the universe express,
don’t miss it,
this adventure “life”,
just get on,
and enjoy the ride,
for no one knows,
the time of their clock,
and when it stops.

So, go on then,
explore the world,
as much as you can,
because when you reach the final station,
you’re going to move on to new adventures,
in places of which no one has ever heard.

About the poem:

I originally wrote this in a different language a few years ago. Last week, I accidentally stumbled upon this draft and I immediately knew I needed to sit down and try to translate my original thoughts as good as I can to get the message out there.

Writing this also served as a great reminder to me, to stay fearless, to stay brave and to stay curious throughout my life. The universe is vast. I like to remind myself of this every now and then, it really puts things into perspective and makes all “problems” seem incredibly small and absolutely unimportant. It reminds me of the things that really count in life and allows me to worry less, and live more.

I hope you’re all well and not worrying about stuff. We’re all on the same train together, let’s not cry, let’s be bright and shine. Let’s do something bold with our lives.

Prospermind. 🙂

  1. I’m glad you took the time to translate it. I needed to hear this message again today. I think we all need some reminding from time to time 🙂

Hope you’re well too, and enjoying life to the fullest.
There is only one line that I would not agree with. “If you’re tired,
stay awake,” No, if you’re tired, sleep, so you can enjoy life better, more fully tomorrow.
It’s something I constantly need to remind myself. Take care of that body you were given, you’ve got only the one to serve until your clock stops. We might as well take care of it!
Live in the now, not in the “What else could I do?” Enjoy life as it is unfolding. Including blissful sleep 🙂

Sending kisses across the waves. 🙂
    XO

  2. Absolutely fantastic! It’s the way I choose to live my life even though confined to bed. Your insight is inspirational. I enjoy reading your posts very much. I am not receiving them in my reader. Can you give me some tags you use so that I can add them? Thanks so much.

    • Hey Nancy, thank you very much for this awesome comment on this post! I know this is the way you choose to live and if you ask me, there shouldn’t be another way other than this. Like I said once before I admire your strength and your attitude towards life is simply inspiring!

Now that thing with the reader: Sometimes it helps to unfollow and re-follow a blog to cure this disease of the so often tampered with reader. There are three main tags I use with almost every post: Poetry, Creative Writing and Amateur Writer.
      I hope this helps.

      Be well Nancy,

      Prospermind. 🙂
