Daily Dispatch 25: In Repair.

Plant these feelings,
inside your chest,
never give your broken heart,
any time to rest.

Try to restart the engine,
that once worked so well,
now condemned to stay broken,
condemned to dwell.

To love someone,
with a broken heart,
requires work,
on every part.

Unless repaired what broke apart,
loving someone with a broken heart,
will forever remain,
impossibly hard.

Until the engine is well oiled,
and runs again,
you can’t give up,
you can’t lose your strength.

This poem is part of my project Daily Dispatch.

About the poem:

Today, everything is just “eehh”. I was barely able to write anything today. I would’ve loved to just stay in bed, sleep all day and let the day go to waste, but I didn’t.

It’s not my best today, but also not my worst. It’s just the result of a very cold and slow day. I’m still glad I wrote something though.

Looking forward to a bright and sunny day tomorrow.

See you soon and have a great day,
