Daily Dispatch 5: Gold.

I want gold,
or nothing at all.
That’s why,
I’ve allowed your love,
to take a toll,
on my heart.

I want gold,
or nothing at all.
To taste your kisses,
oh, so delicious,
is worth the rise,
is worth the fall.

I want gold,
or nothing at all.

This little poem is part of the projectย Daily Dispatch.

About the poem:

This poem was inspired by the featured image of this post. I usually write first and then select an image, I find fitting, to go along with my piece. This time I decided to challenge myself and do it the other way around.

I don’t consider myself a poet. I’m just someone who likes to express himself through writing. I don’t follow much rules, but I follow wherever the pen in my hand leads me.

See you soon,

  1. This is a good poem. Don’t sell yourself short by saying your not. We all start somewhere and as we gain life’s experience so does the poetry. The technical etc can be learned
