Daily Dispatch 2: Fragments of a Story 2

My Mom was crying hysterically and shouting “No, no, no.” over and over again. I couldn’t respond and tell her that everything was going to be fine, that I was going to make it and she shouldn’t worry, I was too busy running for my life.

I was trying my best to escape, but as I reached the neighbour’s house I realised I ran into a dead end. Too late, I couldn’t turn around any more. There was no time. I was trapped.

“They got me.” I said before I choked.

That was it. My knees were caving in and I fell down on the ground. It felt as if my body had sent a signal to my legs to finally give up and surrender.

I was quickly typing one last message in my phone and hit send: Mom, I love you.
And then I let go. I dropped the phone.

I could hear her crying and screaming through the phone: “Please, no. Please, no!”.

Here they came – BANG.

This fragment of a story is part of the project Daily Dispatch.

I am no story writer, however I am an amateur, who wants to write and learn more about how to write stories. Continuing my journey to become better day by day.

About the story:

This is the second fragment of the story, it was another dream continuing the story. I don’t know if there is more to come, however I find it quite exciting to keep dreaming about the same story.

More to come,

prospermind.

  1. Very neat. I like to write about my dreams sometimes, especially if they’re vivid. Look forward to more.

    • Thank you Dara.
Ever since I was little I loved to dream, it’s just like watching a movie in your sleep and sometimes you even get to direct it. Writing about my dreams is quite fun as well and allows me to explore worlds, many of us only get to see at night, even during the day. 🙂
