Who wants change?

Who wants to live in a world,
that is upside down,
Who wants to live in a world,
where they turn your words around,
Who wants to live in a world,
where they despise bright things and shoot them down,
Who wants to live in a world,
where every beautiful thought can’t be turned into sound.

Who wants to live in a world,
that has been hypnotized by greed and jealousy,
Who wants to live in a world,
where negativity is all the children see,
Who wants to live in a world,
that doesn’t allow an individual to express how they feel,
Who wants to live in a world,
that creates an atmosphere that is too poisonous to breathe,
Who wants to live in a world,
that makes it impossible for anyone to truly become their destiny?

Well,
not me,
not me.

The world needs change, but so do we,
so take my hand and come with me,
yes, you my friend, if you agree,
let’s unite and make this dream not only remain a possibility,
but let’s make it become a reality.

  1. Wonderful poem. Sometimes with change a schism happens which is a tribulation. My idea put all of humanity together and start them in therapy. We would maybe live a little more happier. Be well my friend

  5. Oh yes! Let us be ourselves. If we all decide to change like this, be ourselves, the love that lives deep within, then the world will become a better place!
I simply love your last stanza!

  7. Neither me, I do not want to live in that type of word. You made a valid point, ‘we’ are the world and if we do not change then the world will stay the same.
