Please, tell me,
where do I go,
from here?
Please, tell me,
how do I move on,
from here?
Please, tell me,
how do I restart,
my heart from here?
Please, tell me,
how do I not just fall,
apart right here?
When –
You turned around,
on me.
You turned around,
on me.
You turned around,
on me.
When,
lonely words,
blown into the wind,
are all I can think of.
So,
please, tell me,
how the fuck do I just,
let go?

Brother, I know that pain…

It’s…. not pleasant. And I hate that I can’t just shut it off. It’s frustrating.
Thanks for stopping by Matt, it’s been a while since I’ve been on WP. Lots of catching up to do, being here always gets my mind off things. 😉

The mind can be poison sometimes man. Just keep trying to write it all out. Good to see you back brother!

I know.. I know.
But it feels like an eternity already. The clock’s ticking slowly for the brokenhearted..

It is very young. Own those feelings they will pass. It is all a change of attitude and thoughts towards the situation and in time the feelings will pass. Not to say you won’t feel a twinge here and there like I feel them still. I know there is nothing I can say that will make it better. Just know I am here for you

In answer to your last question… not easily. In fact, letting go is just about one of the hardest things one can ever do, and I’m still no good at it. This poem is so beautifully sad, my friend.

I’d be happy to go and have a look at your latest post. Could you provide me a link to it, for some reason I can’t access your blog when I click on your Gravatar. 🙂

I am tearing up and I don’t even know why. This is what they call “real” poetry. That which touches something deep within. Absolutely brilliant.

No, thank you my friend. Keep celebrating your tears and one day, when they have all dried, you’ll be able to look back on the past with even if just a little smile…
Be well. 🙂
